Family immigration with a person who has protection (asylum) in Norway
Не всё содержание этой страницы имеется на русском.
If you are the spouse, cohabitant or underage child of a person who has been granted protection in Norway, you can be allowed to live in Norway without your family member being subject to an income requirement.
For spouses, you must have been married before this person came to Norway to remain exempt from the income requirement.
You need to adhere to two deadlines to be exempt from the income requirement. The deadlines are for when you have to register your application and when you hand in your application.
- You have to register your application within 6 months of the date of your family member's decision letter (i.e. the letter stating that protection in Norway was granted):
- the application for family immigration must be registered online via udi.no.
- the application fee of NOK 7 800 must also be paid.
- You have to hand in your application within 12 months of the date of your family member's decision letter:
- you must meet up in person at a Norwegian embassy, consulate or Visa Application Centre and hand in all your documents.
- please note, the application will not be considered as submitted until you show up and hand in the necessary documents.
If you do not apply within these deadlines, your family member will have to meet an income requirement for you to be eligible for family immigration.
If the reference person was granted protection in Norway before 1 August 2017, only the requirement of handing in the application within 12 months applies.
